Hi. I'm Sandra and I'm a full-time freelance Illustrator and Pattern Designer.
My artwork has been licensed for greeting cards, educational publishing, fabrics, stationary, home decor, and much more.
Since I discovered Procreate, I have never looked back and now create most of my illustrations on it. I believe in transparency and collaboration and I love sharing my process and secrets with you.

Module 2: Creating the Illustrations
Setting up the canvas and creating the illustrations, textures and details setp-by-step.
Module 3: Making the Pattern
The steps to create a half-drop repeating pattern in Procreate are always the same, so once you learn them, you can create as many patterns as you want!
Module 4: Testing and Variations
Learn how to test your pattern to make sure it's perfect, create different versions of your files and even create a normal pattern repeat from this half-drop so you can use your pattern for POD sites or printers that don't allow half-drops.

How does the class work?
This class is delivered 100% online, so you can watch it at any time, from your laptop, phone or tablet. I suggest watching from your laptop so you can see the tools I’m using. Once you enroll, you get instant access to the 12 lessons (1 hour and 4 minutes) long class.
What do I need to take this class?
You need an iPad with the Procreate app installed. I suggest having an Apple Pencil because it makes drawing much more precise but it's not absolutely needed to follow the class.
Will you review my projects?
No, this class is self-paced and doesn’t include project reviews, but most lessons have a comments area where you can ask me questions related to the class and if you post your projects on Instagram and tag me @artbysandramejia and #learnwithsandramejia, I’m constantly looking at these and might comment on yours!
Will you teach me how to make the artwork or teach me any painting techniques?
Yes. I'll show you how I create the fruit illustrations step by step. I'll even provide the exact same brushes I use so you can download them for free.
I’m a beginner, would this course work for me?
Yes! I explain all the steps needed to complete the class, and if you get stuck, you can ask questions in the comments area or rewatch it again and again.
I’m a pro at making patterns, will I learn something new?
You might! I personally love learning how other artists do things. There are many ways of painting on th iPad and creating half-drop repeating patterns. If you're interested in seeing my approach and how I do things, you're welcome to join!

How long will I have access to the course?
You have unlimited access to the course. I’d say forever, but I might not be wanting to maintain this class once I’m 80, so you’ll have access as long as Sandra Mejia’s online school exists.
Do you have a refund policy?
I’m sure you’ll love this class, as I have 100% satisfaction rating in my reviews, but if by any chance you’re unsatisfied with the class, we offer a 14-day refund policy from the date of purchase. Students should allow for their credit/debit card refunds to take up to 7-10 business days to process.
